Out of Frame
Steel, Soft Stone, Screws, Metal pipes, Vanish and Mixed Media
“Out of Frame” semantically means “not involved or not being considered for something”. The main characters of the sculpture include a piece of carved stone that refers to a hand holding onto its own, and a hand made commercially standard sized ( 12,5” x 16,5”) metal frame. Both objects are balanced and connected to one another by thin steel structure of predeterminate distance in space, with the carved stone object’s base make it capable of standing independently while the metal frame’s base being fragile, resulting in the frame having to lean onto the connection with the other object to avoid falling.
